On the east coast of Zanzibar in a secluded tropical setting, the Mapenzi Beach is set above a powdery white sand beach about 50 minutes from Stonetown and about one hour from the airport.

Accommodation: All 87 rooms are simply furnished cottages in Zanzibar style with airconditioning, ceiling fan and terrace. Standard room: as above set on the hillside overlooking the resort and sea. Seafront: as standard but are in cottages or villas set along the beach.
